Six County Association of Governments (SCAOG) is accepting applications for a full-time Volunteer Services Manager to join our Aging and Volunteer Services Department. The Volunteer Services Manager will be in charge of administering a variety of community-based volunteer programs such as the Retired and Senior Volunteer Program (RSVP), Voluntary Income Tax Assistance Program (VITA), Foster Grandparent Program (FGP), as well as homeland security initiatives such as Citizen Corps, Community Emergency Response Teams, Neighborhood Watch and other initiatives and programs to the entire six-county region.

The Volunteer Services Manager will oversee all volunteer-based programs sponsored and administered through SCAOG. The Volunteer Services Manager will contribute to program development and implementation, public relations, and community outreach for each of the programs. This position develops monthly agendas and conducts Citizen Corps Council meetings, attends monthly conference calls for RSVP, attends regional calls, coordinates and organizes provider council meetings, and attends in-person quarterly meetings for the Utah Senior Service Corps Directors Association. Duties include: writing and submitting grants, developing recruitment methods to attract new volunteers and maintain relationships with existing volunteers, ensure that all volunteer sites have adequate certified volunteers and supplies, and other duties as assigned.

The Volunteer Services Manager will be responsible for fulfilling and complying with all requirements and reporting mandated by the National Senior Service Corp and SCAOG. This includes accurate documentation, maintaining and keeping accurate files and records, and adhering to all grant requirements, reporting, and guidelines. Fiscal and financial responsibilities include budget creation and adherence, reviewing accounts payable, completing timely monthly draw downs, and other financial duties as assigned.

Applicants must be self-motivated and possess the ability to work on their own. Must have good organizational skills and the ability to communicate and work well with the aging population and volunteers. Attention to detail, organizational skills, and computer experience is required. This is a full-time position with benefits. Starting salary is $16.50 – $17.50 per hour depending on work history and experience.
